When a project demands expansive joint-free areas, exceptional strength, and superior structural performance, post-tensioned concrete is the ideal solution. At Alphapiso, we apply this advanced system with precision, delivering slim, durable, and highly efficient floors engineered to meet the toughest challenges in the logistics and industrial sectors.

How it works

Post-tensioned flooring uses high-strength steel tendons (strands) that are tensioned with hydraulic jacks and anchored at the ends of the slab. This applied tension creates compressive forces within the concrete, counteracting the tensile stresses the floor would normally experience. The result is a stronger structure with reduced thickness and greater flexibility in panel layout and spacing.

Benefits of Post-Tensioned Flooring

  • Large panel sizes: Enables slab spans exceeding 80 to 100 meters, significantly reducing the number of joints and, consequently, lowering maintenance costs.
  • High load capacity: Ideal for areas with heavy forklift, truck, and pallet jack traffic - especially where concentrated loads are present.
  • Reduced slab thickness: Post-tensioning optimizes concrete and steel usage without compromising safety or performance.
  • Fast and precise execution: With an experienced team and cutting-edge equipment, we ensure accurate tensioning and excellent flatness in every pour.

Recommended Applications

Post-tensioned flooring is widely used in logistics centers, large-scale industrial facilities, storage areas with pallet racks, loading platforms, intermodal terminals, and any environment where heavy traffic and high structural performance are constant demands.
